Older vehicles and certain engine types often require oil changes every 3,000 miles, especially when using conventional oil. Always review your vehicle’s manufacturer guidelines to see if you fall under "severe" driving conditions, which often require more frequent oil changes. Severe use isn’t just off-road or heavy towing—it can include short stop-and-go trips, extreme heat, or cold winter driving. If these sound like your daily routine, more regular oil changes may be needed to keep your engine protected.
